The Centre for Muslim-Christian Studies in Oxford published a guide titled ‘Christians, Muslims…and the Bible‘ with input from both Christian and Muslim scholars with the intention to be ‘non-partisan whilst not ignoring difficult or controversial issues and histories.’ They write:
There is likely to be ongoing divergence between Christians and Muslims, but there is also great scope for fruitful discussion, and improved mutual comprehension.
Translations of the Bible into Muslim-majority languages and public performances of the Gospel story through Passion Plays are contributions to this kind of fruitful discussion and improved mutual comprehension.
