What do we do now?

Coming to the end of a Passion Play can sometimes be incredibly hard. After working so closely with a great team for many months and after all the excitement of the final performance, the following days and weeks can feel very empty. Many people report feeling a range of feelings from pride and fond memories to feeling lost and wishing there were more rehearsals coming up!

What can help to keep your Passion Play community together?

For some groups, the experience of putting on a Passion Play is all-encompassing and after one performance, there is little energy left for another performance. How do other Passion Plays keep going?

  • The Hornchurch Passion Play is repeated every five years. In between performances, they keep the community alive with fundraising events which include Easter monologues and Easter services every year and an annual Burns Night with proceeds going towards the next Passion Play.
