Passion  Plays are free performances that take place in various towns and cities around the UK each Easter.

These free performances tell the story of Easter: the life, death and resurrection of Jesus as recounted in the Bible.

Professional actors and theatre companies work with thousands of volunteer cast and crew around the UK to bring the story of Easter to life in new locations each year. Local communities have the opportunity to re-tell the ‘greatest story ever told’ in new ways that speak to their local community. These are free performances by local communities for local communities.
